Client:
BMA
Scope:
Bulk earthworks and major culvert installation.
Location:
East Crinum Mine, QLD
Project Features:
The East Crinum conveyor line involved the construction of 4km of conveyor alignment bulk earthwork, drainage structures and pavement material. The major haulroad crossings comprised 2 separate crossings, the Southern and Northern haulroads, of 80 metres and 130 metres respectively. Concrete bases and substantial wing walls and headwalls were constructed for the conveyer crossings, with the culverts placed on the bases by crane following the installation of the conveyor modules. The interface with operating mine traffic required a comprehensive safety and traffic management plan to ensure no disruptions were experienced and all personnel and equipment could operate safely in the culvert locations.
