Project Features:

Laguna Quays is a major golfing and water sports oriented resort near Proserpine, far North Queensland. During the project MCG was involved in material production, runway construction, and civil works associated with the resort. Work also included the bulk excavation of excess material, apron construction and drainage works for an airstrip capable of handling international jet aircraft. Strict environmental precautions were built into the project management plan due to proximity of the Great Barrier Reef. Over 3,000,000 bcm was excavated within 2 km off shoreline with no environmental breaches or incidents.
